Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum 2020 Awayzgoose

Thursday, November 5, 2020 @ 10:00 AM - Sunday, November 8, 2020 @ 5:00 PM

Registration for the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum 2020 Awayzgoose is open! This year we’re excited to partner with The American Printing History Association for the conference. In this time of social distance we plan to give a big online embrace to our fellow lovers of type and letterpress. Please join us for our first online conference. It will take place as a virtual event with stellar speakers, tantalizing type tours and familiar faces that typify this event. Register for the Awayzgoose now.

Now in its 12th year, we host designers, printers, typographers and letter geeks of all stripes from across the globe. It is a weekend filled with workshops, type talk and great speakers. The Wayzgoose was originally an entertainment given by a master-printer to his workmen to mark the beginning of the season of working by candlelight. In later years, it meant an annual celebration held in summer by the employees of a printing establishment, consisting of a dinner and often an excursion into the country. Plan to join us for our online Awayzgoose, November 5-8, 2020 and for the pre-conference workshops.

The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum will award a limited number of scholarships for college students and those who are experiencing financial difficulties to attend the annual Hamilton Wayzgoose conference, November 5-8, 2020.  Each award is paid to the Hamilton Museum for the sole purpose of paying for the attendee’s conference fee. Scholastic scholarships should be applied for below and financial hardship support can be applied for here. Workshop attendance is not included as part of the scholarship. The deadline to apply has been extended to September 15, 2020.
