Sandra Alston

Sandra Alston was until her retirement the Canadian Specialist at the University of Toronto Library with responsibilities in the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, and the Collection Development Department. She is an adjunct faculty member of the Faculty of Information and has taught BKS 1000 and analytical and historical bibliography. Her primary research interest is in printing and publishing history prior to Confederation. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Canadiana.org and the Publications Committee of the Champlain Society. Her most recent publications, with Professor Patricia Fleming, are Early Canadian Printing: A Supplement to Marie Tremaine’s ‘A Bibliography of Canadian Imprints, 1751-1800 and Toronto in Print, an exhibition and catalogue celebrating two hundred years of the press in Toronto.
